This release brings back automatic chat titles, lets you name chats yourself, and upgrades DeepSeek Flash.
Chat titles
- Automatic titles are back — We fixed a bug where every new chat stayed titled "New Chat". New chats get a short, descriptive title from your first message again, on every plan, including the free plan. Titles don't count toward your free messages.
- Rename chats — Hover a chat in the list and click the pencil, or click the pencil next to the title at the top of an open chat (double-clicking the title works too). Press Enter to save or Escape to cancel. A name you choose is never replaced by an automatic title.
Free messages
- Try more hosted models for free — Your free messages now work with GLM 5.3 Flash, Muse Spark 1.3, Gemini 3.8 Flash and DeepSeek Flash. If your selected model needs a plan, free messages use GLM 5.3 Flash, and your own choice comes back as soon as you subscribe.
Model Updates
- DeepSeek Flash — Now runs on DeepSeek V4.1 Flash (October 17 snapshot), still with a 1M-token context window. It now accepts images, so it reads screenshots and image attachments directly instead of through the image tool. If you had DeepSeek Flash selected, you move to the new version automatically.
