How to connect ChatGPT, Claude, or your own Gemini API key to Do Browser.
Do Browser uses AI to understand your instructions and automate tasks in the browser. Every paid plan comes with built-in AI — no setup required. Just describe what you want and go.
You can also connect your own AI provider. If you already have a ChatGPT or Claude subscription, you can sign in and use it directly. This bypasses the built-in usage limits entirely.
Supported Providers

Connecting ChatGPT
If you have a ChatGPT Plus or ChatGPT Pro subscription, you can sign in and use it with Do Browser:
- Open Do Browser and go to Settings.
- Under AI Provider, select ChatGPT (sign in) from the dropdown.
- Click Sign in with OpenAI — you'll be taken to OpenAI's login page.
- Log in with your OpenAI account and authorize Do Browser.
- Once connected, you'll see a green Connected indicator.
After connecting, you can choose which model to use from the model dropdown. Options range from the fastest lightweight models to the most capable ones.
Connecting Claude
If you have a Claude Pro or Claude Max subscription, you can sign in the same way:
- Open Do Browser and go to Settings.
- Under AI Provider, select Claude (sign in) from the dropdown.
- Click Sign in with Claude — you'll be taken to Claude's login page.
- Log in with your Anthropic account and authorize Do Browser.
- Once connected, you'll see a green Connected indicator.
You can also choose which Claude model to use — from fast and lightweight to the most capable.
Using a Gemini API Key
If you'd rather use your own Google Gemini API key directly:
- Open Do Browser and go to Settings.
- Under AI Provider, select Gemini API Key from the dropdown.
- Get an API key from Google AI Studio if you don't have one.
- Paste your API key into the field.
Why Use Your Own Provider?
- No usage limits — you use your own subscription, so Do Browser's built-in limits don't apply.
- Model choice — pick the AI model that works best for your tasks.
- Use what you already pay for — if you have a ChatGPT or Claude subscription, put it to work.
Switching Back to Built-in AI
You can switch back anytime. Go to Settings → AI Provider, select Do Browser (hosted), and you're done. If you connected via OAuth, you can also click Disconnect to remove the connection. Your plan's built-in limits will apply again.
Troubleshooting
"Sign in" isn't working Make sure pop-ups aren't being blocked by your browser. The sign-in flow opens a new window to the provider's login page.
"Session expired" or "Please sign in again" Your connection to the provider timed out. Go to Settings and click Sign in again — it only takes a moment to reconnect.
Gemini API key not working Double-check that your API key is correct (no extra spaces) and that your Google Cloud billing is set up.
